SFSP

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is federally funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and state-administered in Florida by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service (FDACA). The intent of the SFSP is to bridge the gap in nutrition during the summer months by serving nutritious meals to children while school is not in session.

Potter's House Community Development (PHCD) is a state sponsor for The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). As a sponsor for The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Potter's House Community Development (PHCD) runs the program at the local level and communicate with the state agency the results. During the summer months, PHCD has provided over 100,000+ meals

for children 18 and below yearly since 2009.

PHCD envision the community where youths need nurturing, one on one relationships and community support, which in turns allows them to develop into their full potential.

TOY DRIVE

We promote yearly events for youth which includes a Back to School Bash that provides school supplies and uniforms. And a Christmas Toy Giveaway where we provide toys for needy children in the community. Through causes like these, we hope to bring the community together for a common purpose that everyone can relate to "helping those in need"

Helping Other People Eat

Our organization provides food and assists with feeding families in the community and the homeless population year-round as well as different community events to bring people from all walks of life together to strengthen families and the community for improved mental well-being and personal struggles. Our goal is to fight hunger in the community while assisting and transforming individuals into healthier and more productive individuals that create a positive impact on themselves, their families,
and overall, the community.
